How the Collective works
A free list of the locally owned businesses in Clarksville, Oak Grove and Hopkinsville, built so you can answer "who's a good mechanic?" with one link.
What's on it
Businesses owned and run by people who live here: barbers, mechanics, dentists, daycares, churches and the rest. National chains are left out. If you spot one, open its page, choose "Claim it or fix a detail" and tell us.
Where the listings come from
We started from OpenStreetMap, the free map anyone can edit. Owners and neighbors add the rest with the Add a business form, and a person reads every submission before it goes up. Hours copied from OpenStreetMap say so on the listing, so you know to call ahead.
Owner tags
The veteran-owned, military spouse-owned and locally owned tags show only after we check with the owner. Each check is dated and runs out after a year unless it is renewed. A business without a tag hasn't been checked yet; it doesn't mean the answer is no.
Who runs it
The Clarksville Collective is run by Choptek, a veteran-owned web studio in Clarksville. Listings are free and stay free.
Choptek also builds websites for local businesses. A business that works with Choptek gets no better spot, badge or placement here than one that doesn't, and the order you see never looks at who Choptek's clients are.
